Ergonomics and Manual Handling

IPM recognises that body stressing / strain injuries from work-related activity are 40% of most organisation’s injuries. When you need practical, cost-sensitive and effective solutions for your ergonomic risks, IPM is your solution. We assess workflows, workstations, ergonomics chairs and seats, production equipment and manual task risks.

A defining feature of how IPM conducts ergonomic consulting is our engaging and practical approach; we ask searching questions, listen acutely and provide user-friendly design/equipment/process options for you to consider. Our Ergonomic Consultants can provide you with a range of services customised to your needs including:

  • Inherent requirements analysis
  • Comprehensive ergonomic assessments and detailed reports with prioritised recommendations;
  • Preventative workstation screening checks and short reports;
  • Comprehensive ergonomic interventions such as reviewing office layouts, office lighting and manual tasks and work processes.

IPM also offers a variety of ergonomic and manual task training solutions, with theory and practical components, such as:

  • Internal workstation assessors/champions training;

If you are committed to preventing strain injuries in your workplace you’ll need to manage the handling risks by getting smarter – designing the work so it’s ergonomically sound; ensuring your people are fit for the actual work demands; and reducing those demands with risk-reduction equipment, enhanced systems and practical people controls.
