Michael is a founding Director of IPM and its current Managing Director. He has been a qualified and practising Physiotherapist for over 30 years, working as a Specialist WHS Consultant with over 22 years’ experience in Work Health and Safety, Training/Coaching, office and industrial ergonomics, and Incident Investigation.

Along with IPM’s Martyn Bradfield, Michael created and established the SafetyCircle® cultural change program as a powerful behaviour based safety initiative. This is Michael’s special interest area: injury prevention through building practical, positive Workplace Health and Safety skills, cultures and systems.


Michael has extensive experience in the work health and safety challenges of industries as diverse as zoos, forestry and wood processing; local government and utilities; agriculture and food processing / manufacturing; call centres and aged care; waste management and arts and cultural events. As an experienced incident investigator, trainer, leadership facilitator and program developer Michael strives to provide clients with exceptional insights and practical ways to improve their WHS.
